HaYom – Today is a day for something new!

TBS is pleased to offer our multi-generational, family-based progressive service for the second day of Rosh Hashanah, on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 10:30 am until noon. This service will run concurrently with our traditional sanctuary service, but outdoors under a tent. Learn more about this unique service here and contact the temple office for more details.

Featuring a Chili Cook-off in collaboration with the New England Region of the Federation of Men’s Clubs.

No cost to attend. Zayde’s Market will be on hand selling food. Prospective members will be given free vouchers for chili samples and voting.

How the Bible Became Holy

Featuring Dr. Michael Satlow of Brown University

Dr. Michael L. Satlow is professor of religious studies and Judaic Studies at Brown University. He received his Ph.D. in 1993 in Ancient Judaism from the Jewish Theological Seminary and has written widely on the social and religious history of Jews in antiquity. He also maintains an online database called “Inscriptions of Israel/Palestine” (www.brown.edu/iip) and has created a podcast series, “From Israelite to Jew,” freely available on iTunesU. He has held a Guggenheim Fellowship and was a Fulbright Scholar in Israel. He is the author of How the Bible Became Holy published by Yale University Press.

What better way to celebrate Shabbat than as a Community?

Friday, November 17th we will gather together as one community and welcome in Shabbat together.

  • TBS Tots service with Cheska at 6:00 pm
  • Regular Shabbat service at 6:00 pm
  • TBS Tots join the Regular Service for concluding prayers and singing
  • Community dinner at 6:45 pm
