Student-led Services and 2nd Grade Siyyum Ha’sefer

Please join us on March 25th at 9:30 as our Religious School Students in Grades 2-8 lead our Shabbat morning service. The children have been working very hard on the prayers and can’t wait to share their knowledge with the Congregation! We all kvell when we see our children expand their horizons and become a part of the Jewish Community at large.

During the service, our 2nd Grade Students will be receiving their very own customized Siddur Lev Shalem’s. The students will use these Siddurim throughout the remainder of their Religious School years and daven from them at their Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s.

Learn Israeli Dancing!

Temple Beth Sholom Sisterhood is offering a chance for you to learn Israeli Dancing on Monday night, March 20th, at 7:30 pm. This event is open to everyone ages 10 and above.  We will use what we learn during a special Oneg on Friday night, April 7th. Just 5$ for TBS members and MWJDS adults, $10 for non-members, and free for children ages 10-18!

Second Night Seder returns to Temple Beth Sholom

Tired of making the 2nd night seder, don’t know how to, or just simply don’t have a place to go? Make us your home for the evening. Please join us as Rabbi Bazer leads a festive Passover Seder for all ages on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Services at 5:45 pm, followed by the Seder at 6:00 pm. Sign up now, before March 30th (no exceptions)!

Do you have your costume ready for Purim?

Our Purim Service is Saturday night March 11th at 6:30 pm in Shushan Hall. Do you have your costume ready? Who is going to win the prize for the best costume in the different age categories?

Join along with Rabbi Bazer and Rav-Hazzan Sokol as we read the Megillah with a fun video which brings the Megillah to life!

Lots of Hamantashen, nosh and drinks to go with the celebration.

New Member Welcome & 2nd Soul Shabbat

Join us as we welcome New and Returning Members to Temple Beth Sholom on Friday night March 10th. The evening will begin with a Wine and Cheese Reception at 6:45 pm, followed by services at 7:30 pm and a festive Oneg following the service. We will be making a special presentation to our New and Returning Members.

During the service, Rav-Hazzan Sokol will talk about the “Musical Traditions for the Chanting of the Megillah” to get us ready for Purim.

We hope you can all join us for this special evening!

 

Pizzaz Your Purim

Come to the craft room at the McAuliffe Public Library (746 Water St. Framingham, MA) on Sunday, March 5, 2017, 1:30-2:30 pm for a fun, energetic pre-Purim experience. This program is geared toward families with kids and will be led by Danforth Museum Art Teacher and musician Cheska Komissar. It will include an interactive Purim story, a chance to make a unique noisemaker, a “how to” booklet of Purim customs and celebration, and of course, a home-made hamantaschen sampling. This is a great way to meet other Jewish families in Metrowest.  We look forward to seeing you! Sponsored by Temple Beth Sholom of Framingham.

TBS will once again be hosting our annual Purim Carnival on Sunday, March 12 from noon to 1:30pm. There will be food, games, tons of prizes, face painting, raffles, and more! Ger here early for pony rides between noon and 1pm. (Yes! Pony rides!) Bring your friends. All are welcome!

Rosenberg who will speak on his “Reflections of a History Professor on Teaching Middle East Studies to an International Student Body Community.” Mark D. Rosenberg is an Adjunct History Professor at Bentley University and is a Middle East specialist. Please join us for this very fascinating topic facing college campuses. An Oneg Shabbat will follow the service.
