Wednesday Mornings from 9:45 AM to 11:30 AM in the Library with Rabbi Bazer (Starts 10/18)

  1. The Call of the Prophets, Part II.   We will continue for just two weeks our study of the Prophets, on October 18th and 25th. We will look at the weird prophecies of Ezekiel and then move into Hosea, Amos and Jonah’s Whale of a tale….

Then, starting in November, we will begin a new class called:

  1. A Return to Tevye the Milkman and other classic Jewish and Yiddish Short Stories. We will read and discuss many of the classic early 20th Century Jewish and Yiddish Short Stories and tales, including works from S.Y. Abramovitsh, Sholem Aleichem, I.L. Peretz, and more. We’ll even read some Chelm stories, too!

Thursday Night from 7:40 PM to 9:00 PM in the Library with Rabbi Bazer (Starts 10/19)

  1. Are We All One Torah? Judaism’s religious Movements—Past, Present, and Future. We’ll explore what Orthodox, Hasidism, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, and even Renewal are all about as Judaism’s religious movements and practices.

And

  1. LEARN TO READ HEBREW: Whether you never learned to read Hebrew or just need a good refresher, this new adult-education class is for you.

In a few weeks, you will become comfortable reading Hebrew at services or reading store signs in Tel Aviv.

The cost is only $18 to cover learning materials.
