Join us as we welcome Guest Cantorial Student Jessica Woolf for a Special Shabbat Morning Service on February 23, 2019
Jessica Woolf is a second-year cantorial student at Hebrew College in Newton, MA. An Oregon native, she received a Bachelor of Music in musicology at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 2013, and studied oboe with former Chicago Symphony Orchestra principal Alex Klein.
Prior to entering Hebrew College, Jessica was the Education Programs Coordinator and Ner Tamid Fellow at Ohr Kodesh Congregation in Chevy Chase, MD. This year she was the High Holiday Cantor at Synagogoue Emanu-El in Charleston, South Carolina. Previous soloist positions include Congregation Shalom Aleichem (Columbia, MD) and Congregation Beit Tikvah (Baltimore).
Outside of studying full time Jessica sings with the Zamir Chorale of Boston under the direction of Joshua Jacobson and studies voice with Frank Kell
