This page will be updated each Friday and/or Monday. We have some great programs going on, and would love to hear from you if you have creative ideas about what else to do! Here’s what is on our schedule for the week. You are warmly invited to join any of our activities from your computer, tablet, or smartphone app. If you prefer, you may also join us via telephone. Please refer to the regular emails from the Rabbi for Zoom video conference links and telephone numbers. Contact the Rabbi if you need the video conference details.
Shabbat Sha-Zoom Friday 4/3 at 6:00 PM
Join us for candle blessings, songs, and some pre shabbat shmoozing.
Hav-Virtual-Dallah Saturday, April 4th at 8:00 PM
Our schedule during Pesach will be slightly different… We all have different practices regarding the use of electronics on shabbat. While we will not be hosting “live” programming as a community on Yom Tov or Shabbat (Wednesday evening 4/8, Thursday 4/9, Friday 4/10, Saturday 4/11, Tuesday evening 4/14, Wednesday 4/15, Thursday 4/16), you are welcome to use any of our resources at whatever time works best for you and your families.
Weekday Evening Minyan: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday at 7:15 PM
Ten Minutes of Text: Monday and Tuesday at 12 Noon
Fast of the First Born: Wednesday at 7:30 AM
The day before Pesach is the Fast of the First born, when eldest children fast to show how grateful they are not to have been subject to the plague that killed the firstborn children of Egypt. While some people fast, some people instead engage in Torah learning and a celebratory meal that supersedes the obligation to fast. Regardless of your place in your family’s birth order, you can join us to learn in honor of the Fast of First born. BYOB(reakfast).
Pre-Seder Wednesday at 12 Noon
In place of our regularly scheduled Ten Minutes of Text, we’ll be hosting a Pre-seder on Wednesday at noon. We’ll cover the highlights and share some ideas about what we are planning at our own seders Wednesday evening.
Shabbat 4/10 and 4/11
There will not be Friday evening services on 4/10, because Yom Tov leads directly into shabbat. We will look forward to gathering in real time on Saturday evening, April 11th at 8 PM for Havdallah.
